What an incredible night we had! Our recent wine and cheese evening brought together new and longtime friends of Fair Chance for an inspiring celebration of community, connection, and the transformative power of giving every child a fair chance at a bright future.
Heartfelt Gratitude to Our Gracious Hosts
We extend our deepest appreciation to Jeffrey Franco and Andy Shallal, along with Marjan Shallal and Carter Ingram, who opened their beautiful home and hearts to create this memorable gathering. Their warm hospitality and commitment to Fair Chance’s mission made the evening truly special, providing the perfect intimate setting for meaningful conversations and genuine connections.
An Inspiring Voice: Krittika Ghosh
The highlight of our evening was hearing from Krittika Ghosh, a recent Fair Chance graduate who now serves as Executive Director of the Asian Pacific Islander Domestic Violence Project. Her powerful story exemplified the ripple effect of Fair Chance’s work – demonstrating how supporting one individual creates waves of positive change that extend far beyond what we might initially imagine. Krittika’s journey from Fair Chance participant to community leader perfectly illustrated the transformative impact of investing in local talent and community-based organizations.
The Power of Community Investment
The evening reinforced a fundamental truth: when we invest in community leaders and organizations, we’re not just supporting programs – we’re nurturing the next generation of changemakers. Krittika’s presence as both a Fair Chance graduate and a leader making her own significant impact in the community served as living proof of this philosophy in action.
