ACCESS Youth, Inc. (2012 Partner) provides at-risk youth with access to the skills, resources, and support they need to stay in school and out of the criminal justice system.

Advocates for Justice and Education (2008 Partner) seeks to empower families, youth, and the community to be effective advocates to ensure that children and youth, particularly those who have special needs, receive access to appropriate education and health services.

Alliance of Concerned Men (2013 Partner) works in partnership with public institutions and agencies, faith-based organizations, other CBO’s and stakeholders to provide educational, social-cultural and economic opportunities available to at-risk youth and returning citizens in underprivileged communities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas.

Amara Legal Center (2017 Partner) provides free legal services to individuals whose rights have been violated while involved in commercial sex, whether involvement was by coercion, necessity, choice, or otherwise, in the D.C. metropolitan area.

Ascensions Psychological & Community Services (2008 Partner) serves the Washington, DC community through innovative therapeutic services and social initiatives.

Associates for Renewal in Education (2020 Partner) promote the well-being of children, youth, and families in Washington, DC, to help them achieve life success. ARE does this by providing family-centered, educational, and social services.

Chance Academy (2017 Partner) provides a cooperative program for academic and personal growth in which parents, staff, and children work and learn together.

City Gate (2012 Partner) empowers those on the margins of urban society to access and participate more fully in the life and benefits of the larger community, and to implement strategies of partnership that address the needs of urban youth, the poor, the immigrant, and others who are disadvantaged or disenfranchised.

City Kids Wilderness Project (2014 Partner) provides DC youth with life changing opportunities to help them learn, grow, and build the skills they need to set goals and work towards their dreams. City Kids operates school year and summer programs for 130 DC youth, enrolling new youth in the sixth grade and providing program support through middle school and high school.

College Tribe (2015 Partner) is a youth development organization that uses STEAM education to provide hands-on learning opportunities to 3rd to 8th grade boys in Ward 7 & 8.

Common Good City Farm (2016 Partner) seeks to create a vibrant, informed, and well-nourished community through urban farming.

Community Educational Research Group (2023 Partner) is dedicated to serving and advocating for children and families from birth to 12 in Wards 7 and 8 by providing a high quality, culturally diverse educational program within a safe environment. In partnership with parents, the CERG will prepare each child, physically, cognitively, and socially to transition to the next level of education using developmentally appropriate practices.

Community Youth Advance (2022 Partner) is dedicated to advancing the academic, social and career opportunities of boys and girls by providing them, and their families, academic enrichment, mentorship, college prep assistance and access to career training.

First Generation College Bound (2021 Partner) exists to empower youth from low to moderate income families to achieve social and economic success by providing guidance, encouragement, and support in obtaining a college degree.

First Shift Justice Project (2020 Partner) helps working mothers in low wage jobs assert their workplace rights to prevent job loss.

The Fishing School (2007 Partner) prepares elementary and middle school students for success in high school and life by improving their academic performance and life skills; and engaging them and their parents in intensive, multi-year, and research-based out of school time and parent engagement programs and activities.

Free Minds Book Club and Writing Workshop (2007 Partner) uses books, creative writing, and peer support to awaken incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youths and adults to their own potential. Through creative expression, job readiness training, and violence prevention outreach, these poets achieve their education and career goals, and become powerful voices for change in the community.

Generation Hope (2014 Partner) is dedicated to reducing poverty one family at a time by providing mentoring, resources and services to help DC area teen parents become college graduates and to help their little ones enter kindergarten at higher levels of school readiness.

The Grassroot Project (2016 Partner) capitalizes on the excitement, relatability, and popularity of sports to provide much-needed health literacy and social empowerment programs to DC teens. In addition to providing health education to DC teens, they invest in the leadership training, cultural competency, and professional skills of hundreds of NCAA varsity athletes who serve as our program facilitators.

Greater DC Diaper Bank (2013 Partner) empowers families and individuals in need throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia by providing an adequate and reliable source for basic baby needs and personal hygiene products.

Groundwork Anacostia River DC (2016 Partner) utilizes environmental restoration goals as a vehicle for community development. Groundwork Anacostia River DC’s objectives are to increase the capacity of residents and stakeholders to improve, care for, and promote their local environment; reclaim vacant and derelict lands for conservation, recreation, and economic development; and reconnect residents to their neighborhoods’ environmental assets, including parks, open spaces, and the Anacostia River and its tributaries.

Healthy Babies Project, Inc. (2015 Partner) helps at-risk D.C. families have healthy babies and move out of the cycle of poverty.

HIPS (2015 Partner) promotes the health, rights, and dignity of individuals and communities impacted by sexual exchange and/or drug use due to choice, coercion, or circumstance. HIPS provides compassionate harm reduction services, advocacy, and community engagement that is respectful, non-judgmental, and affirms and honors individual power and agency.

Homeless Children’s Playtime Project (HCPP) (2012 Partner) cultivates resilience in children experiencing family homelessness by providing and expanding access to transformative play experiences.

Hope and a Home (2011 Partner) empowers low-income families with children in Washington, DC to create stable homes of their own and make lasting changes in their lives.

Horizons Greater Washington (2014 Partner) provides summer and Saturday academic, cultural, and recreational enrichment programs that kindle a lifelong passion for learning and foster collaboration, creative problem-solving, and grit.

Inspired Child (2018 Partner) The mission of Inner City-Inner Child is to improve the quality of early childhood education for children ages 0 to 5 living in Washington, DC’s most economically disadvantaged communities. ICIC inspires a life-long love of learning and books through arts-based literacy programs for children, their teachers and families.

The Ivy Community Charities (2023 Partner) seeks to empower youth and strengthen families by providing programs and services that address the educational, cultural, health, economic and social needs of Prince George’s County’s low to moderate income residents.

Joe’s Movement Emporium (2021 Partner) inspires creativity through cultural experiences supporting arts education, job training and a creative community.

Jubilee JumpStart (2014 Partner) prepares children from low-income families for success in school and life by providing a high-quality, evidence-based program, focused on social and emotional well-being, in partnership with families and the community.

Kid Power (2021 Partner) inspires youth leadership by promoting academic advancement, physical and emotional wellness, and positive civic engagement in underserved communities throughout the District of Columbia.

Liberty’s Promise (2023 Partner) supports low-income immigrant youth, ages 15-21, by providing them with means to become actively involved in civic life, pursue higher education, and embark upon meaningful careers.

Life Pieces to Masterpieces (LPTM) (2007 Partner) uses artistic expression to develop character and leadership, unlock potential, and prepare African American boys and young men to transform their lives and communities.

Literacy Volunteers and Advocates (2008 Partner) is dedicated to addressing the core, hidden problems of illiteracy at both an individual and community level by tailoring its programs to the thousands of adults in DC who are coping with illiteracy caused by learning challenges.

The Literacy Lab (2012 Partner) provides low-income children with individualized reading instruction to improve their literacy skills, leading to greater success in school and increased opportunities in life.

Little Lights Urban Ministries (2007 Partner) empowers underserved youth and families in Washington, DC by developing its constituents spiritually, socially, and intellectually, through academics, life skills, the arts, and discipleship.

Live It Learn It (2010 Partner) partners with schools and cultural institutions to create and deliver experiential learning opportunities for students in order to increase students’ self-efficacy, motivation, and achievement.

Math Speaks, Inc. (2023 Partner) engages, empowers, and exposes children of color from economically disadvantaged communities to STEM experiences and careers through the exploration of math topics.

M.A.N.U.P. (2017 Partner) is a community-based nonprofit organization that develops young leaders by providing them with the support, resources, training, and opportunities they need to be resilient, healthy, and contributing community members.

Many Languages One Voice (MLOV) (2015 Partner) fosters leadership and provide tools for greater civic participation of immigrants in DC who do not speak English as their primary language in solutions that impact their lives. We mobilize the community to prompt systemic change to meet the goal of language justice in the district.

Open City Advocates (2008 Partner) provides legal representation and mentoring services to youth in DC’s juvenile justice system. Open City Advocates serves youth both during and after incarceration to support their successful reintegration into their families and community.

Perry School Community Services Center (2011 Partner) uses a collaborative, comprehensive, and integrated approach to social services, economic empowerment, and youth development.

Project Create (2012 Partner) provides accessible arts education to promote positive development in the lives of children, youth and families experiencing homelessness and poverty.

Public Allies Washington, DC (2015 Partner) finds young adults who are passionate about making a difference and helps them turn that passion into a career in public service. During a 10-month AmeriCorps apprenticeship, Allies develop their own leadership while strengthening community organizations. Public Allies also builds leadership amongst alumni and community partners to ensure lasting change, especially in education and workforce development.

Raising A Village Foundation (2023 Partner) is committed to providing high-quality intervention programs and community resources to children, youth, and families in the areas of education, health and wellness, and the arts. They are currently work in 6 locations across DC. Their mission is to build safe, healthy and whole communities by increasing access to education, health and wellness, and the arts in underserved areas.

Reach Incorporated (2013 Partner) develops grade-level readers and capable leaders by preparing teens to serve as tutors and role models for younger students, resulting in improved literacy outcomes for both.

Resources to Inspire Students and Educators (RISE) (2009) helps low-income youth in Washington, DC, achieve academic and career success. This is accomplished by providing educational resources such as high-quality tutoring and college and career mentoring – free of charge.

Rising Sun Programs (2019 Partner) provides evidence-based, experimental life skills and support services for youth and families to improve their understanding and management of their financial and personal well-being.

The Safe Sisters Circle (2013 Partner) focuses on the needs of Black women survivors in Wards 7 and 8 by providing them with culturally specific, trauma-informed legal representation in civil protection order, family law, and criminal court advocacy cases along with community education and referral services. Their long-term vision is to change the culture of intimate violence in Wards 7 and 8 through culturally specific representation and prevention.

Southeast Ministry (2013 Partner) is a grassroots social justice ministry of the Lutheran Church of the Reformation that listens to the needs of the community and develops culturally sensitive education programs that address the root causes of social problems such as poverty, illiteracy, and violence.

ScholarCHIPS (2020 Partner) provides college scholarships, mentoring, and a support network to children of incarcerated parents, inspiring them to complete their college education.

School Justice Project (SJP) (2015 Partner) is a legal services and advocacy organization serving older students with special education needs who are involved in DC’s justice systems.

Side by Side (2015 Partner) engages, equips and encourages parents of elementary school students to partner with schools to promote their children’s success in the classroom.

Soul Trak Outdoors (2021 Partner) cultivates outdoor stewards within communities of color through multi-generational programming in nature. Their work is aimed to benefit black and brown communities in the greater Washington DC area, while specifically highlighting natural spaces located in wards 7 & 8.

Starting With Today (2021 Partner) creates, sustains, and enhances the career, mental, and financial wellness of underserved adults by providing customized training and local resources.

Swaliga Foundation (2020 Partner) Engineers the Art of Education through culturally engaging STEAM education and entertainment. Its mission is to cultivate education globally and inspire young people to connect their passion to successful careers.

T.A.G. Labs (2019 Partner) helps young people enhance their creative talents by developing computer games, mobile applications, and websites.

Teaching for Change (2014 Partner) provides teachers and parents with the tools to create schools where students learn to read, write and change the world. By drawing direct connections to real world issues, Teaching for Change encourages teachers, parents, and students to question and re-think the world inside and outside their classrooms, build a more equitable, multicultural society, and become active global citizens.

Technology Playground (2010 Partner) provides programs which encourage underprivileged teens to explore their academic and business interests while developing essential leadership skills needed to compete in a 21st century technology based workforce.

The Total Family Care Coalition (TFCC) (2016 Partner) is the leading provider of family advocacy and support to parents of children and youth with serious emotional disturbances in the District of Columbia. We specialize in empowering youth with serious emotional disturbances to advocate for their own care plans. TFCC serves Wards 6, 7, & 8.

The Training Source (2016 Partner) provides education, training, and services that promote positive economic mobility.

United to Rise (2017 Partner) promote academic, cultural, social and emotional development; improve computer literacy, help build self-esteem and strengthen leadership and confidence in the classroom.

Urban Alliance (2005 Partner) empowers under-resourced youth to aspire, work, and succeed through paid internships, formal training, and mentoring.

Uplift, Inc. (2012 Partner) creates, investigates, and guides K-12 students through innovative educational experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics, and Computer Science (STEAM+CS), teaching them to solve everyday problems as they advance toward making real world impact.

Urban Ed (2011 Partner) provides District of Columbia children, youth and adults with technology-driven education, information and skill development for sustained futures.

The Wanda Alston Foundation (WAF) (2019 Partner) provides safe and supportive transitional housing to homeless LGBTQ youth between the ages of 18 and 24. Through advocacy and programming, WAF is dedicated to ensuring that homeless LGBTQ youth have access to services that improve their overall quality of life.

We’re Empowered to Achieve the impossible (WETATi) (2023 Partner) educates, trains and empowers low to moderate income K-12 and collegiate students to build entrepreneurial skills to prepare for the 21st century workforce.

Wilderness Leadership and Learning (2013 Partner) is a highly interactive 12-month, experiential-learning, youth-leadership, and life-skill-development program.

WINNERS Lacrosse (2015 Partner) uses the game of lacrossee as the vehicle to instill values, education, and life sustaining skills that will give young boys and girls the tools to be successful on and off the field.

Words Beats and Life (2005 Partner) creates arts based educational experiences that equip youth, arts managers, teaching artists and scholars to move from theory to practice. We harness the power of the imagination to reshape the lives and communities we serve.

Y-KNOT Inc (2012 Partner) inspires and motivates youth by providing effective mentorship while stimulating knowledge, nurturing ideas creating opportunities and teaching lifelong lessons that will enable them to lead satisfying and rewarding lives

Young Ladies of Tomorrow (2012 Partner) serves as an alternative to the juvenile justice system for adolescent females from underserved communities through a trauma-informed holistic approach to youth development programming that empowers each young lady to successfully transition into womanhood.

The Young Leadership Foundation (2016 Partner) builds character and supports the pursuit of academic excellence enabling youth in the DC-MD-VA area to enhance the trajectory of their lives. Their Saturday, summer and after-school programs emphasize mentoring and parental involvement.

Young Playwrights’ Theater (2016 Partner) believes that creative expression and theater are valuable tools for the education, enrichment and self-actualization of young people. Through our programs and productions, we fulfill their creative vision by hiring professional artists to guide and perform original youth-generated work for their peers and for the public.

Youth Entrepreneur Institute (2020 Partner) breaks the cycle of local poverty by training the next generation of ethical, entrepreneurial, and environmental leaders. Their programs help youth identify their own natural gifts and talents and teaches them how to monetize these skills and use them to start a small business.
