The Fair Chance Board of Directors is pleased to announce the launch of a national search for the organization’s next Executive Director.
After a year of a transitional co-leadership model and thoughtful planning process, the Board has decided to return to Fair Chance’s roots with a single Executive Director. This decision reflects the Board’s confidence in Fair Chance’s future and its commitment to building on the organization’s strong foundation.
Over the past nine months, Co-CEOs Jeff Franco and Ann Miles have provided exceptional interim leadership during a period of transition. Their partnership has ensured continuity, stability, and continued progress toward Fair Chance’s mission of supporting leaders, strengthening nonprofits, and increasing life-changing outcomes in the Washington region. The Board extends its sincere gratitude to both Jeff and Ann for their dedication, service, and approach to partnered leadership.
The Board has retained Carlyn Madden and Ana Chapa of Good Insight, an award-winning executive search firm based in the D.C. region, to lead the search for Fair Chance’s next Executive Director. We are seeking an accomplished, collaborative, and mission-driven leader who is passionate about strengthening nonprofit organizations and expanding opportunities for local leaders. Following the appointment of a new Executive Director, Ann will transition into a newly created Deputy Executive Director role, where she will continue to provide strategic leadership, institutional knowledge, and operational continuity in partnership with the incoming Executive Director.
