We’ve collaborated with a broad range of funders and organizations. Examples include:

• We were selected by Venture Philanthropy Partners (a regional foundation later known as Youth Invest Partners) and the Prince George’s County Council to design and deliver a multi-year project to strengthen select youth-serving organizations to manage more effectively, scale their impact, serve a growing number of young people needing services in the County, and reduce their dependence on County funding. We also grew the pipeline of organizations by providing several workshop series open to all County nonprofits over several years.
• Learn24, the out-of-school-time funding initiative out of the DC Deputy Mayor for Education’s office, selected Fair Chance for several projects including to assess its small, community-based nonprofit grantees, provide training and coaching to improve organizational effectiveness, and lead a series of workshops targeted to increasing financial management capacity.
• We worked with Bridgespan, a large international nonprofit consulting firm, to continue capacity building work in our region following their initial investment in seven cohorts of human service nonprofits.
• We led a project for the DC Department of Employment Services Office of Youth Programs to increase the effectiveness and outcomes of grantees over the course of the grant year.
• We provided operational, fiscal, and administrative support as the fiscal sponsor to a grant-funded program called the District of Learning, which brought together dozens of nonprofits to boost youth engagement, strengthen learning outcomes, improve program management, and measure and communicate results.
• Since 2018 we have been working with the Boston Consulting Group, a global management consulting firm, to coordinate their skills-based volunteering program with teams of associates assigned to provide ongoing support to select DC nonprofits.
• We have recently been selected by the Prince George’s County Department of Family Services to facilitate a community of practice and provide ongoing capacity building workshops for their ENOUGH grant’s Local Management Board member organizations.
